Congratulations to Maica Nesmith, Esther Suleiman-Arab, and Merari Vega.  These Carson students were winners in the Pennsauken Public Library Poetry Contest.  We are proud of you!

Our end of the year event was held on Wednesday, June 7 @ 3:30PM.  Our babies, moms and siblings enjoyed learning about number sense and celebrated a successful year of this initiative.  We would like to thank Superintendent Tarchichi and BOE president, Mr. Nick Perry for attending and supporting our initiative.  We look forward to more events next school year.

    Field Day and Kona Ice

Field Day was held on Monday, June 12, 2017.  Many fun events took place such as limbo challenge and water games from 9:30- 11:30 AM.  Thank you to all the staff and volunteers for your assistance with this fun-filled event.  We celebrated our last day of school with a Kona Ice treat for all our students and staff.

Around the World Travel Day - June 8, 2017

"Carson International Airport" was busy with international flights as students, ready with their passports, traveled around the world to visit a variety of countries in our classrooms.  Students traveled to countries such as African nations of Cape Verde, Ivory Coast and Morocco as well as to Central and South American countries of Mexico, Guatemala and Brazil.  This was a culminating activity from a year of study about different countries and cultures.

Thank you to everyone for supporting our fundraisers.  Our evening Scholastic Book Fair was held on May 30, 2017.  Many of the parents and students who attended our spring concert and art show also found time for some book shopping!

    Space Day

The entire Carson School staff and students participated in our annual Space Day on May 25, 2017.  Thank you to Ms. Tryon and her committee members for organizing this all day event that piqued students' interests and curiousity about space and science.  Students enjoyed learning through many activites such as the Star Lab, Glow in the Dark Art, Galaxy Fun, Rocket Launches, Mars Egg Drop and Space Toys.

    Spring Concert and Art Show

Carson's 4th Grade students performed for a packed house on May 30, 2017.  Our instrumental music ensembles and our vocal music chorus members displayed all that they have learned over the past year and truly impressed our audience!  Thank you to Ms. Test and Mr. Millstein for their efforts in making this year's concert a success.

Ms. Fessler organized our Art Show to coincide with our concert night.  Families enjoyed viewing all the impressive artwork from the 2016-2017 school year.  The featured attractions - Glow in the Dark Art was a glowing success!
