At Carson - everyday is a Learning Day! 

School Hours are as follows:
  • Morning Arrival - Students enter the building @ 8:50.  Breakfast is served in the classrooms until 9:05 
  • If students arrive after 9:05 - they are considered late.  5 Late arrivals will equal 1 Unexcused Absence
  • Dismissal - Students dismiss @ 3:37.  If your child does not ride a bus, be sure he or she is picked up promptly @ 3:37
Parents, it is your responsiblitly to make sure that your child attends school every day on time. This will ensure that your child will not miss out on learning.  Please schedule appointments and family trips outside of school hours.
 We want to see your child's beautiful face each and every day in school!

    Carson Read Across America Week 

    Carson students celebrated their love of reading by participating in a variety of activities that were related to an Alice in Wonderland theme:

    • Drop Everything and Read
    • Fall into Wonderland - students "shrank" to enter Wonderland for a reading adventure
    • Surprise Author - Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Mozee, read students her published children's book "Don't Wash My Hair!"
    • Guest Readers from our community
    • Vocabulary Hat Parade
    • Alumni Skit - former Carson students perfored a scene from Alice in Wonderland

    Carson Fourth Grade Gifted and Talented Students - participated in Brain Drain on March 1, 2017.  The students were placed on teams and competed in various problem solving activites.  The focus was on collaboration and "brain power!"

     

    Carson School celebrated the 100th Day of School on February 8th with a Multicultural sharing of 100 facts from different countries from around the world.  Students learned to count to 10 in different languages and the school community was entertained with music from Ms. Koch's Kindergarten class (a song from Morocco) and Ms. Messina/Ms. Ruane's class treated us to a song from Turkey, led by our ESL teacher, Ms. Davis (a native of Turkey).  

     

    The Carson Babies Initiative hosted an event on February 15th.  Carson older siblings practiced reading to their baby brother or sister.  

     

    Carson Financial Literacy Class

    A group of graduate students (Global MBA program) from Fox School of Business at Temple University, visited our fourth grade classrooms. The Temple graduate students taught a lesson focused on earning money, budgeting and personal finances.  The Temple University students were impressed with our students' responses, questions and their engagement with the lesson!
