About Us

Our Town

Pennsauken is an urban, middle class community of approximately 35,000 people in Camden County. Its 10.5 square miles are home to people of a broad range of ethnic backgrounds. The schools, in turn, are a reflection of the community and a microcosm of society in today's world.

District Profile

The Pennsauken School District provides for the education of approximately 6,000 students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12. The physical make-up of the district consists of a four-year high school, a middle school, an intermediate school, seven elementary schools, one preschool, and one alternative school located strategically throughout the Township.

Our Schools

We in the Pennsauken School District are proud of our schools and the accomplishments of our students. Much of the success the district has experienced can be attributed to a number of factors: the efforts of an experienced and dedicated staff, conscientious leadership, a board of education supportive of programs to improve education, and an active PTA/community who get involved with schools. Through this cooperative effort, the Pennsauken Public Schools are a proud part of Pennsauken's past, a positive force in the present, and an inspiration for the future

Programs and Services

The Pennsauken School District provides a full complement of counseling services grades K-12. Every effort is made by the schools to identify existing or potential problems in a student's life and to resolve them. In recognition of this responsibility, the district has five child study teams consisting of psychologists, counselors, learning disabilities specialists, and social workers.
