Food Allergy Management in Schools

Another growing health problem in recent years is food allergies in children.  The school environment should be safe for all children and those with food allergies are no exception.  Pennsauken Public Schools has a Food Allergy Protocol that we follow to insure the safety of children with food allergies and to promote independence in the child in dealing with this often lifelong problem.

Below are highlights of our protocol.  You can also download the forms you and your physician will need to put a plan for school into place.  Please consult with your child’s nurse to develop an individual  plan for your child.
