Butterflies floating in the sky
While I sit here and look at them wondering why
I can’t fly
Like them.

I would like to float in the sky,
But I can’t
So I just sit here and sigh.

Soon enough, I forget
And get set for bed
And lie down and go to sleep
Without a peep.

And as I get older
I would probably
Figure out why,
I can’t fly.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
You saw me and
I saw you.
If you saw me,
What will you do?
Will you eat a kangaroo?

Summer

Springtime is so much fun.
We get to play in the sun.
Cool breeze blowing east to west,
Not warm like summer.
I like summer best.

Summer means school is out.
Time to scream and time to shout.
Swimming and going to the beach.
I can’t wait for summer to reach.
Goodbye winter! Hello spring!
I can’t wait for summer to begin.

The Who in the Zoo

There once was a Who
That lived in a zoo
And didn’t know
What to do.

Along came a goose
Who knew a blue moose
Created by
Dr. Seuss.

The moose and the goose
Went to the zoo
Looking for
A “Who” of a time.
The moose, the goose and the Who
All got together
And shared a great rhyme.
