Pennsauken High School offers a complete range of courses to meet the academic needs of its students. The curriculum is engineered to accomodate all students, from those with special needs to those who are academically gifted. Advanced placement, dual credit, and technical prparation courses facilitate our mission, "to provide exceptional educational opportunities that empower students to excel academically, emotionally, physically, and socially in a safe, nurturing environment". A total of one hundred ninety-four (194) courses were offered to our students during the past school year.

Our college bound population is served by an array of offerings which include twenty (20) courses designated for academically gifted or advanced placement students. The curriculum also includes opportunities to study four (4) different foreign languages and advanced programs for the science oriented students.

Pennsauken High School has numerous academic extracurricular activities available to students. These activities include the National Honor Society, an honor society for each foreign languge and various science organizations. The co-curricular programs of our school give every student many opportunities to get involved. An expansive array of athletic teams, clubs, and activities make the Pennsauken High School experience very rich.

Our Related Arts/Technology program is extremely varied with multi-year offerings in three (3) major vocational/technology areas. These include Building Technology, Auto Technology, Drafting Technology, and elective courses in the related arts area. The Pennsauken School District has made a commitment to put a computer in every classroom for instruction. Toward that goal, Pennsauken High School has equipped one hundred eleven (112) classrooms with computers for this school year. Additionally, computer labs have been remodeled and equipped with over one hundred of the latest computers. Faculty members have participated in computer training through in-service and staff development programs. The planned addition of several new computer labs and additional computers in the classroom will ensure continued academic excellence.

All of the music programs in our high school are legendary throughout the region. The Apache Marching Band, the "Touch of Class" Indoor Guard, the Pennsauken Jazz Ensemble, and the "Double Dozen" chorus all have many championships and accolades to their credit. A tradition of success frames our extensive athletic and co-curricular programs, and our outstanding performing groups are among the finest in the area. There is no reason for any student to leave our school at graduation feeling unfulfilled in terms of academic, athletic or social development. The citizens of Pennsauken can be proud of the efforts and accomplishments of Pennsauken High School - a dynamic force in the 21st century.
