MISSION

The Pennsauken High School Athletic Department mission is to provide educational opportunities utilizing the interscholastic competitive experience with an emphasis on the development of positive character of each individual student athlete.

ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of athletics at Pennsauken High School is that athletic participation is considered an integral part of the school district educational program. Properly guided, developed and administered athletic programs provide experiences, which will contribute to the physical, mental and emotional development of young people. Athletics are extracurricular activities, an extension of the classroom designed to provide wholesome competition and to assist in the development of citizenship. As all participants represent the Pennsauken School District, such participation carries with it responsibilities to the school, the team, the student body and the student himself. The athletic department will strive to encourage such participation and provide these experiences for the maximum number of students.
