In order for your child to
perform at their best academically, he/she should be at their optimum level of
wellness.
Health screenings are
done routinely to check for deficiencies that may result in problems in academic
achievement.
The schedule of health screening in Pennsauken Public Schools are as follows:
| Height/Weight | All students grades Kindergarten through 12 annually |
| Blood Pressure | All students grades Kindergarten through 12 annually |
| Hearing Screening | All students in grades Kindergarten through 3; and grades 7 and 11 annually |
| Vision Screening | All students in grades Kindergarten, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 annually |
| Scoliosis Screening | All students age 10 (by June 1 of the same school year) , grade 5, 7, 9 and 11 |
You will be contacted if your child has difficulty with the screenings or results are not within normal limits for their age.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the nurse at your child's school.
