Alumni Veterans Memorial Dedication Ceremony

Message from Nick Perry, President of the Board of Education

Nick Perry

Last May, a group of alumni from Pennsauken High School presented to the Board their vision for the Alumni Veterans Memorial Plaza.

The Board of Education wholeheartedly approved this project by donating this piece of land and giving our full support.  This was truly a cooperative effort.  We are blessed to have many skilled and devoted employees in our district who have volunteered their time and expertise, working with our alumni, over and above their regular duties to make this project a reality.  In addition, our fine high school students volunteered to make the dedication ceremony very special through their music, their writings and their service. Thank you students!

This Monument and Plaza is dedicated to the alumni of Pennsauken High School who have served their country in the Armed Forces.  On this monument we also honor our alumni - men and women - who have lost their lives in service to our country.  These individuals represent Pennsauken’s finest and bravest – individuals whose hopes and dreams were never realized.  They will be remembered here always.

On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to thank you for your support of this project and extend a welcome invitation to everyone to come back to this Plaza anytime as this is a place of reflection and remembrance now and in the future.
