Dear Staff, Parents, Guardians and Pennsauken Community,

Welcome or Welcome back to Pennsauken Public Schools. We are very proud to serve your children and provide them with a world class education here in Pennsauken.  Pennsauken Public Schools has committed to a mission that will move this district forward to a level of excellence in order to equip every student with the knowledge, critical life skills, and strategies produced through education. Achieving these outcomes will position students to be creative, industrious and engaged citizens. We prepare our students to develop personal and social responsibilities in order to foster an internal sense of self-worth, while maintaining respect and dignity of others.

The Vision of the Pennsauken Public Schools is to foster a civil community of lifelong learners and scholars who strive for constant individual challenges and growth. We will accomplish this vision by inspiring educational, societal, and emotional growth along with development within a safe, pleasant, compassionate, and thoughtful learning environment.

Pennsauken Public Schools provide opportunities for parental involvement, as well as the participation of the community, local businesses, and higher education to support and encourage our students in identifying the pursuit of their lifelong goals. The district supports parental involvement via PTA’s and community-related endeavors.

Professional Development workshops for staff to keep informed of the latest research in instructional strategies and meaningful materials are offered during the school year. We continue observing all staff with an emphasis on coaching and instructional methodologies.

Assessment has become the focus of evaluating student and school performances and achievement. Yearly school and district objectives concentrate on increasing test scores on all levels. We have also utilized funds to implement after-school programs, tutorials, as well as new educational initiatives to provide effective interventions in assisting our students to achieve improved test results.

Pennsauken Public Schools is truly focused on the pursuit of student educational achievement through children and young adults reaching their short and long range goals.   Student scholastic potential is the focus of Pennsauken Public Schools.  Academic and occupational opportunities will be offered to students through career exploration, career and technical education (CTE) and dual credit college courses offered through an articulation agreement at Rowan College of Burlington County (RCBC). Students will be able to earn up to an Associate's Degree through accumulation of courses offered  in our high school in addition to a senior year option where students can take classes at Rowan College of Burlington County.

In addition to dual credit classes, students can earn certificates in one of our CTE programs located in Pennsauken High School.  CTE programs available for the 2017-18 school year include Automotive Technology, Carpentry, Culinary Arts, and Cosmetology.  CTE programs that will be added for the 2018-19 school year include Electrical Construction and Welding. The final CTE program that will be added for the 2019-20 school year will be Plumbing.

Moreover, specific programs offered in the High School will be hybrid programs offering a CTE component and the option of dual credit courses.  One example of these programs is Criminal Justice. The main focus of Pennsauken Public Schools in to offer educational interests for every student.  A goal embedded within our main focus is that dual credit classes offered are prerequisites to a specific college major.  A secondary goal is to to offer our students certificates that make them more marketable in the workforce.
